Predictive Harm Analytics
Project to evaluate police work initiated
In a new project in collaboration with Sarah Brown and Carlo Tramontano from the Centre for Advances in Behavioural Sciences (CABS) we will be looking into statistical measures to predict individuals particularly at risk of becoming involved in crime based on databases held by the police forces and so-called multi-agency safeguarding hubs (MASHes). For the project, funded by the Home Office, our group will use the theory of complex networks to investigate the predictability of vulnerabilities particularly in groups of young adults and drug runner networks.
