GRC steering committee

Gutenberg Research College Mainz

As of January 2011, the university president appointed me as a member of the steering committee of the Gutenberg Research College of Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz.

The Gutenberg Research College (“Gutenberg-Forschungs-Kolleg”, GFK) was initiated in the first round of the German “Excellence Initiative” as a new institution at Mainz University geared towards giving strategic advice about research policies to the university presidency. It has its own budget of around 2 Mio Euros p.a. to support excellent researchers already at or newly joining the university with Gutenberg Fellowships
